Your favorite wedding so far and why?
Tough one! I think one of the weddings that stands out for me is one of the first weddings I shot with my own company where everything just came together. I knew that I loved my job! It was a romantic little vineyard with a yellow barn, the weather was amazing, and the couple – the couple was so laid back, so in love with each other and they were so ready to celebrate their wedding (sound familiar Lisa and Ken!!) Even though that wedding was a while back I still have brides finding me through the magazine clipping of their wedding – crazy!

What it is about the wedding industry you love most?
I love that I can meet people from all walks of life and be a part of one of their most important days. I love that I can be creative, give back and create memories.

What do you wear to go to sleep?
Yellow boxers that have a huge smiley on the butt and a t-shirt
(hey – you asked!)

3 favorite movies
The whole ‘Planet Earth’ documentary series
Pride and Prejudice
Amélie

What are your goals for this year career-wise?
Have another eco-contest at the end of the year
(if you are a NoCal bride who is planning a eco-friendly wedding for next year,
keep your eyes peeled!)
Revamp my business’ entire look with a new blog and website
Start a big personal project on conservation/ nature photography
Blog more
Make taxes fun (we can all dream, right?)

Your favorite quote/motto is…
“Traveler, there is no path; the path is made by walking.” – Antonio Machado

3 small ways someone has made your day lately…
Michelle featuring me as her étoile on Bliss’d –you rock Michelle!
Receiving an amazing thank you card from a former client
The endless support from my family and friends (ok, that’s a lot of someone’s)

What advice would you give brides & groom who are planning their wedding?
As a soon-to-be bride myself my best suggestion is - do what makes you as a couple happy and go with the flow. Everything else will follow! Enjoy the whole process leading up to the wedding and remember to take a step back, breathe and take it all in on your wedding day. It goes by so fast! (This is also why you hire an amazing photographer)

This is why Sabine is Awesome (with a capital “A”) - her work explains it all:

Dear Sabine,

I should’ve known when we had frozen yogurt in Palo Alto that we would be linked forever, forever friends! You’ve been so encouraging and supportive since day 1. I love your quirky sense of humor and your easy-going nature. I love how we get excited over the same things and love the same things! I know this is only the beginning of our friendship and I’m so excited to see what’s in store for us down the road. I can’t wait to see the magic on your wedding day (will make sure to bring tissues for you! hehe). Thanks for choosing me out of all the rockstar planners in the bay area. When things like that happen, you can’t help but wonder if things really do happen for a reason and if they’re meant to be. I dedicate the song “You Found Me” by The Fray to my buddy Sabine Scherer! lol

You rock my world!

*P.S. I absolutely LOVE your profile picture! It’s the cutest thing! GOOOO Tucker! Ok, you’re allowed to marry him. hehehehe (like I had a say in this!)

hugs,

Michelle

Well, as soon as I saw this I knew I wanted to say congratulations to Sabine and also leave a comment saying how wonderful Sabine is as a person and a photographer! She photographed my husband’s and my wedding back in 2006 and she was a dream from our first contact on. And the pictures were unbelievable! I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer or a better experience. If anyone is looking for a wedding photographer, there is only one choice and that is Sabine Scherer!

  2. What beautiful pictures!
